What is Web UK Membership?

Hello! Thank you for your interest in The Web UK.

The aim of The Web UK is to keep you, the fans, up to date with happenings in the Marillion camp, wherever you are in the world! To do this, we produce the 48-page Web Magazine which contains all the latest news, tour dates and information, interviews with the band and those close to them, album and concert reviews - all backed up with full-colour photos of the band! In addition to the magazines we also aim to provide special events like fan club conventions and pub meets (usually with band members present), international trips to shows; and the exclusive free Marillion Web Christmas CD*, usually including Marillion tracks not released anywhere else, as well as the message from the band, and more surprises! We also offer the exclusive Web Members' Area here on www.theweb-uk.com, with even more exclusive goodies and downloads.

 Exclusive Web Fan Club Xmas CD - Somewhere Elf

The exclusive Web Fan Club Christmas CD is only available to members of the official Marillion fan clubs.

This year's CD is called Somewhere Elf and contains the Christmas message from the band, a recording of the Christmas classic Let It Snow. The remainder of the CD was recorded live at the Racket Club in April 2007 during a rehearsal for a live appearance on the Bob Harris show on BBC Radio 2. This is the first time any Somewhere Else tracks were performed live - and in this case, in front of a very limited invited audience of competition winners. Check the discography for more details.

In order to ensure that you receive your CD prior to Christmas, you need to ensure you have a current subscription by 30th November 2007. Subscriptions received after this date will still receive a CD whilst stocks last, but we are highly unlikely to be able to arrange delivery before January 2008.

As a special offer for new and renewing members, we are pleased to announce that recently discontinued Marillion merchandise are available in limited remaining quantities at special discounted prices (usually HALF PRICE). All offers subject to availability. These offers are not accessible via the Racket Records website, but only upon renewal or new membership to the Web UK.

How much does it cost?

The cost of a membership is £10.00 for the UK, £11.00 for other European countries, and £12.00 for the rest of the world (although fees outside the UK are slightly less when ordered online). This membership is issue-based; you will receive 4 publications as part of your subscription. We endeavour to release these publications every 3 months, and a full membership lasts roughly one year - you will automatically be sent a renewal postcard with the last publication of your subscription.

When will I get my first issue?

The Web UK works just like any normal magazine subscription - you will receive the upcoming publication on its normal shipping date. Due to the number of issues put out each year, you may not receive a publication for up to 6 to 8 weeks after your initial Web UK subscription.

We endeavour to send out a welcome letter and complementary back-issue pack with new memberships, but cannot guarantee that these will arrive before the first publication of your new membership.
